India has completed 79 years of independence and is all set to celebrate its 80th Independence Day. On this special occasion, a wish from India Women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur was certainly expected.

However, Harry did more than just share an Independence Day greeting. Along with her wishes, she also delivered a message encouraging people to become responsible and better citizens.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s Independence Day Message to Indian Citizens

On the occasion of Independence Day, the 37-year-old women’s cricketer shared her wishes with everyone on Instagram. She also delivered an inspiring message, encouraging citizens to support each other and continue carrying their dreams forward.

Harmanpreet Kaur wrote, “Let’s strive for excellence, support one another, and always remember the responsibility that comes with being an Indian.”

“Let’s carry hopes, dreams, and love for all . 🇮🇳. Wishing everyone a very Happy Independence Day! 🇮🇳❤️Jai Hind!” She added.

Apart from this caption, the fearless all-rounder also shared a picture of herself where her face is not visible, with only her back shown. She can be seen carrying the Indian Tricolour while wearing her cricket jersey.

In front of her, fans can be seen waving Indian flags and celebrating, reflecting the passion and love people have for Indian cricket and the nation. The image features “HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY” written in bold letters, along with “15th August” and a picture of the Red Fort.

The message on the picture reads: “May our nation’s flag always wave high with pride. Let’s honor the freedom and the heroes who fought for it.”

Apart from her wish and strong message, Kaur has not shared any details about her Independence Day plans.

Talking about the Indian captain‘s upcoming matches, the India Women’s team will be seen in action against Thailand on August 30, where Kaur is expected to lead the team.
