After defeating Southern Brave, Sunrisers Leeds Women have reached The Hundred Women’s final. Team owner Kaviya Maran personally came forward to congratulate the players, and her presence itself appeared to energise the fans ahead of the final.

Kaviya Maran Becomes a Talking Point Ahead of The Hundred Women’s Final

Recently, Sunrisers Leeds shared a video on their official Instagram account in which Kaviya Maran thanked the women’s team for their hard work and efforts throughout the tournament.

Kaviya said, “Congratulations guys. I’m proud of you. You all worked so hard. Thank you so much guys for everything that you given to the team.”

“So proud of you all. Good luck,” she added.

The team owner appeared in a Sunrisers Leeds jersey while congratulating the women’s team and completed her look with sunglasses. Wherever Ms. Maran goes, fans often turn their attention to her style and appearance, and the Instagram post was no different, with many viewers focusing on her presence.

One fan wrote, “Boss lady🧡🧡,” another added, “She’s the magnetic entrepreneur!”

The team was previously known as Northern Superchargers, but in 2025, The Sun Group acquired 100% ownership of the franchise, making it the sole owner of the team. The franchise was subsequently renamed Sunrisers Leeds.

Sunrisers Leeds Men’s team also enjoyed a strong campaign this season, but narrowly missed out on a place in the final. In contrast, the Women’s team secured their spot in the final with a five-wicket victory.

The Hundred Women’s Final will take place on August 16 at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, with Trent Rockets Women facing Sunrisers Leeds Women for the title.
