Banters are flying, and cricket fans are enjoying it. It’s David Warner at the centre of the storm. The legendary Australian opener has just fired another cheeky salvo right back at the Barmy Army.

What Did David Warner Say to Barmy Army?

Barmy Army shared a cheeky post reminding everyone about Warner’s well-documented struggles against his old nemesis, Stuart Broad. Broad had the left-hander’s number. Dismissing him a staggering 17 times in Test match cricket.

“Good to see you’re still nibbling outside off, Dave. Some habits die hard,” the Barmy Army posted alongside a snap referencing his battles with the legendary English seamer.

Warner, in return, fired off a response that quickly got social media talking. “Been retired a few years now! Eyes have gone, think you need a new target or you still need followers still. Happy to buy a few for you guys,” he wrote.

It all started with Barmy Army mocking Warner for his record. The famous X pointed how he was the last opener to make a pair against England in 2022 before Saim Ayub did it at Edgbaston. The batsman before Warner?

Warner himself. In 2019. The embarrassing record didn’t escape Warner’s keen gaze.

Attracting sharp response, “Hey guys, sorry time zone got the best of me. Interesting stat. When was the last time I went 42 innings without a test hundred?? Oh do you guys still have a curfew, asking for a mate 🤣.”

Warner might even have the last laugh after his candid admission about his career. He has retired. But he is still the target of the Barmy Army. While the Australian batter offered peace, the friction remains. And that’s the fun part.
