With the Metro Bank One-Day Cup 2026 final bringing the season to an end, Amanda-Jade Wellington shared some memories on Instagram through photos and a lengthy caption. She expressed her gratitude to everyone who had made the past six months special.

Wellington said, “Six months & One hell of a journey 💛💙. What started as cricket quickly became so much more. The laughs, the memories, the people and the environment made this one of my favourite groups I’ve ever been part of.”

“So grateful for every moment & every person who made these six months so special 💛💙🦅. 🫰🏻Woof, Woof🫰🏻,” she added.

Amanda-Jade Wellington’s post immediately caught the attention of her Hampshire Cricket teammate Maia Bouchier. Bouchier called the 29-year-old cricketer a “Spin Wizard” in the comments and also shared the post on her Instagram Story with a caption.

Bouchier wrote, “We’re Gonna Miss You.”

Talking about the Metro Bank One-Day Cup Women’s final between Hampshire Women and The Blaze, The Blaze won the match by three wickets. Hampshire came out to bat first, with Bouchier putting together a good partnership with Ella McCaughan, who scored 78 runs, while Bouchier made 29.

However, once both batters were dismissed, Hampshire’s middle order appeared to lose its balance. Freya Kamp then stepped up with 52 runs, while Rhianna Southby’s 28 also provided valuable support. But after their dismissals, Hampshire could only manage a total of 251/9.

The target was made much easier by Tammy Beaumont’s brilliant 74 and Georgia Elwiss’ 64, helping The Blaze become the champions of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup Women.
