Amanda-Jade Wellington, also known as AJ Wellington, went unsold in the 2026 The Hundred auction. However, the team she previously represented, Southern Brave Women, has reached the Eliminator stage.
The Australian women’s cricketer appeared frustrated while expressing her disappointment over missing out on the tournament.

Recently, the 29-year-old cricketer answered fans’ questions during an Instagram Q&A session. During the interaction, a fan asked whether she misses playing in The Hundred.
Wellington agreed 100% and revealed how disappointed she feels about not being part of the tournament.
Amanda wrote, “100%. A tournament that I love & have been apart from the beginning. Frustrating to watch from the outside, especially when you see/hear a lot of things…..”
“I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed,” she added. “Feels weird not being involved.”
Wellington not only talked about The Hundred during the Q&A session but also answered several other fan questions.
She opened up about her love for Pikachu, her desire to stay in Hampshire, taking a break from cricket, her involvement in commentary, LCS, and many other topics.
Talking about the Australian right-arm leg-break bowler’s The Hundred career, she began her journey in the tournament with Southern Brave Women in 2021 and remained part of the team until 2022.
She emerged as the team’s leading wicket-taker during her time with the Brave. In 2023, she joined Manchester Originals, now known as Manchester Super Giants, where she continued to deliver decent performances.
Wellington then represented Oval Invincibles in the 2024 and 2025 seasons, a team that is now MI London. However, the Australian cricketer went unsold in the 2026 The Hundred auction.
Talking about The Hundred tournament, the competition has reached its final stage. Trent Rockets Women have already secured their place in the final. They will face either Sunrisers Leeds or Southern Brave Women, depending on the winner of the Eliminator match.
