Charlotte Ellen Dean, better known in the cricket world as Charlie Dean, has become a prominent name in English cricket at a relatively young age. Let’s take a look at the England women’s cricketer’s personal life, family, relationships, and career journey.

Charlie Dean’s Early Life and Family Background

The 25-year-old cricketer was born on December 22, 2000, in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England. Her father, Steven Dean, played cricket for Staffordshire and Warwickshire, while little is publicly known about her mother, Louise Dean, as she keeps her personal life private. The women’s cricketer also has five siblings, all brothers, making her the only daughter in the family.

Charlie completed her education at The Portsmouth Grammar School before attending university in the UK.

How Did Dean Start Her Cricket Journey?

Dean began her cricket journey at Portsmouth Grammar School, where she took five wickets on her debut for the boys’ first XI. She had also captained Hampshire Under-15s to victory in the Royal London County Cup.

Dean made her county debut for Hampshire against Staffordshire in 2016. After consistently performing well in domestic cricket, August 2021 brought her first England call-up for the T20I series against New Zealand, although she was ruled out after being identified as a possible COVID-19 contact.

The right-handed all-rounder then made her ODI debut against New Zealand on September 16, 2021. Her Women’s T20I debut came on January 22, 2022, against Australia, followed just five days later by her Test debut against the same opponents on January 27, 2022.

Charlie Dean’s Relationship Status and Personal Life

The Staffordshire-born cricketer prefers to keep her personal life private, which is why there has been little public information about her dating life or personal relationships. Dean is currently unmarried and single and remains fully focused on her cricket career, whether representing England, Southern Vipers, London Spirit or Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
