After the victory, the English cricketer took to Instagram and shared 11 pictures featuring moments from the match. Alongside the photos, Bouchier also gave credit to Wong and Dunkley in the caption, saying they “finished off the series perfectly.”

Bouchier wrote, “What a way to finish off the summer with the 🦁🦁🦁. A @wongi95 masterclass 5️⃣ wicket haul and a thoroughly deserved @sophiadunkley 💯 finished off the series perfectly 😮‍💨.”

Talking about the England Women vs Ireland Women’s ODI series, it began with the first match on September 1, where Bouchier’s brilliant century and Dunkley’s 73 runs helped England chase down the 281-run target with ease.

With the ball, Wong and Dean proved to be important bowlers, taking two wickets each.

In the second match, played on September 3, Wong wreaked havoc with the ball, taking five wickets for just 33 runs. Ireland could manage only 165 runs, and England comfortably chased down the target.

Then came the final match, where Dunkley stole the show with a brilliant 119-run knock. Keeping her outstanding performance in mind, she was named not only Player of the Match but also Player of the Series.

Wong and Dunkley certainly deserve credit for this victory, but there is one name whose contribution throughout the series simply cannot be overlooked — Bouchier herself.

The 27-year-old cricketer delivered brilliant performances in the opening two matches and also formed a steady partnership with Dunkley in the final game, which helped make the series win much easier for England Women.
