The India team will play their first Women’s Asia Cup 2026 match against Thailand on August 30, for which the squad is ready to travel to Dubai, but without Jemimah Rodrigues. The injured middle-order batter has, however, shared a subtle update about her health through an Instagram post.
Jemimah Rodrigues Says Everything Feels Alright
Just recently, the fearless middle-order batter shared a post on Instagram, where she wrote in the caption that everything feels alright.
Rodrigues wrote, “And just like that everything feels alright :)”
As we can see in the picture, the women’s cricketer is lying comfortably on the couch with her pet dog, holding it lovingly in her arms, with both of them looking completely relaxed. Rodrigues is wearing a cream-coloured sweatshirt with black stripes.
The 25-year-old cricketer can be seen enjoying a sweet and cosy moment in the picture.
On August 3, Southern Brave Women’s star played her final game, during which she suffered a right hamstring injury. Following further checks, Rodrigues was ruled out of the remainder of The Hundred tournament on August 9.
Rodrigues then flew back home, where the BCCI medical team clinically examined and scanned her leg at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The scans revealed high-grade tears, which can take months to recover from. As a result, it was confirmed that she would miss the Asia Cup.
As we know, India’s first Women’s Asia Cup 2026 game is just a few days away, and as a sportswoman, it must feel tough when the whole team is ready to fly while you have to stay home because of an injury. However, Rodrigues’ post reflects positivity.
Although this is not a health update and her injury will take time to heal, the post certainly shows that the cricketer is not disappointed and is instead staying positive.
