Smriti Mandhana was recently spotted shooting for One8 in London, where a cameraman’s two-word remark made her forget her on-camera character, leaving her with a priceless reaction.
Smriti Mandhana Couldn’t Control Her Laughter During One8 Shoot in London
Recently, a clip from Smriti Mandhana’s One8 ad shoot made the rounds on X, showing the cameraman asking her a few questions. During the interaction, he unexpectedly addressed her as “Smriti Sir.”
During the shoot, the ad director asked Smriti if she was set, to which she replied, “Yes.” Soon after, the cameraman also said “set,” which sounded like “Sir.” The shoot director quickly corrected him, saying, “Not Smriti sir, Smriti ma’am.”
Hearing this, Mandhana couldn’t control her laughter and gave a priceless reaction.
India’s vice-captain’s association with One8 began in April 2026, when the women’s cricketer signed a deal with the brand.
One8 has not officially revealed the exact value of Mandhana’s deal. However, a report by Financial Express claimed that the Mumbai-born cricketer had turned down a ₹30 crore deal from Nike. This suggests that the One8 deal could potentially be worth more, although its actual value remains undisclosed.
One8 is an Indian sportswear and lifestyle brand co-created by Virat Kohli. The brand’s association with Mandhana, therefore, carries significance beyond the financial aspect.
It is not necessarily true that Mandhana chose One8 simply because the deal may have offered more money than Nike. There could be another reason, too. When an opportunity comes directly from the “King of Cricket,” it is easy to see why the modern “Queen of Women’s Cricket” might not want to turn it down.
On the cricket front, the 30-year-old women’s cricketer recently played her final match of The Hundred campaign. Her team, Manchester Super Giants Women, was knocked out of the tournament after suffering a 41-run defeat against Sunrisers Leeds.
